TCU 9, Texas A&M 15: ‘Til next season

TCU Baseball’s season came to an end last night following a gut-wrenching 15-9 loss against Texas A&M in the College Station Regional Final.

Before I dive into the nitty-gritty of the game, I want to preface this by saying the Frogs never quit. This group had their backs against the wall countless times this season, and it seemed fitting to end things on a do-or-die game shared with a pretty hefty rival.

Numerous times in that ballgame, Frog fans hung their head thinking “Well, that’s that,” b

TCU 6, Louisiana 1: Frogs live to see another day

Lights out pitching from Cam Brown and an early 2-run home run from Brayden Taylor propelled the Frogs to a 6-1 win over 3-seed Louisiana in a do-or-die scenario.

With the win, the Frogs advance to the College Station regional final, where they’ll face the hosts and no. 5 national seed Texas A&M. Being that the Aggies have a game to drop, TCU will have to win tonight at 7 pm in order to force a second game, where in that scenario it would be winner take all.

The Frogs needed some big performan

TCU 3, Oral Roberts 1: Survive and advance

Back-to-back 6th inning home runs from Brayden Taylor and Kurtis Byrne on two consecutive pitches propelled TCU Baseball to a 3-1 win over Oral Roberts this afternoon.

With the win, the Frogs advance to the next stage of the College Station regional, where they’ll face the loser of tonight’s A&M vs Louisiana matchup.

It wasn’t necessarily the prettiest win, but stellar performances from Marcelo Perez and Garrett Wright on the mound were exactly what the Frogs needed.

Perez finished the game w

TCU 6, Louisiana 7: Frogs drop opener in College Station

The road to Omaha just got a whole ‘lot tougher.

TCU Baseball dropped their opening game in the College Station Regional 7-6 in a battle against 3-seed Louisiana.

Because of the loss, the Frogs move into the losers bracket and will face 4-seed Oral Roberts tomorrow afternoon while the Ragin’ Cajuns move on to play the hosts in the evening game.

The Frogs got off to a shaky start, as Riley Cornelio gave up back-to-back home runs in the 2nd inning over the course of a three-pitch span, one of w

NCAA Baseball Tournament: College Station Regional Preview

All game lines and futures odds are per DraftKings as of June 1 and are for entertainment purposes only

At Bat: In the competitive SEC, Texas A&M did not have any players earn first-team All-Conference honors and have no projected top 2022 MLB prospects, but the Aggie roster runs deep with power and speed at every spot. The Aggies get on base, steal bases, and mash for power: 9 regular starters with on-base % over .350, with 3 players with double-digit steals, and 7 players with 6+ homers. Oppo

TCU Baseball addresses the media prior to regional matchup

TCU Baseball Head Coach Kirk Saarloos along with key players Tommy Sacco and Riley Cornelio sat down to speak with media ahead of Friday night’s regional matchup against the 3-seeded Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns.

Throughout the press conference, there was a sense of confidence across the trio of Horned Frogs. Although a “been there, done that” attitude could be expected for a team that’s made the postseason 16 times in the last 18 years, the Frogs appeared to be cool, calm, and collected while also

NCAA Baseball Bracket Announced: TCU headed to College Station

The NCAA revealed its full 64-team baseball tournament bracket on Monday morning, complete with all seeds and match-ups, after announcing the 16 host sites on Sunday night.

Although the Frogs knew they weren’t slotted as a top 16 national seed and would not be hosting a regional this season, they didn’t know where they’d land come selection time.

TCU ended up slotted as a 2-seed, set to travel down to College Station to take part in the Aggies’ regional.

It’s not the end all be all for TCU, b

TCU 3, Texas 5: On to the next

If TCU Baseball wants to win the Big 12 tournament, they’ll have to do it the hard way following a 5-3 loss against Texas this evening.

Marcelo Perez was on the mound for the Frogs, and aside from one bad pitch, he was lights out. He finished the game with 6 strikeouts in 7 innings pitched, but unfortunately for the Frogs, that one bad pitch cost ‘em 3 runs in the top of the first.

The Longhorn’s Murphy Stehly blasted one out to left field to put the Horns on the board early but got nothing mo

TCU Baseball wins Big 12 regular season title

TCU Baseball closed out the regular season in style with a home sweep over the Santa Clara Broncos to extend its win streak to seven and finish with a 35-18 overall record.

While the Frogs took care of business in Lupton against a non-conference foe, their Big 12 fate relied on one crucial result from Norman. Oklahoma had beaten Texas Tech in games 1 and 2 of their weekend series, which meant TCU needed a Red Raider win in game 3 to take sole claim of the 2022 Big 12 regular-season title.
